ASRock Z270 Extreme4 LGA1151 Motherboard Review
Networking Performance
Passmark Performance Test 8 – Ethernet
The motherboard’s Intel i219V networking solution offers wonderful TCP speeds and just defeated the Gigabyte Z270X-Ultra Gaming to the top spot. Furthermore, the UDP performance was good and didn’t exhibit too many large bandwidth dips.
Passmark Performance Test 8 – CPU Work Load
As per usual for Intel networking chips, the CPU utilisation is extremely low.
Super thorough and helpful, thanks. I was considering the natively wifi-capable Killer SLI model right below this in ASRock’s lineup to host a 7700K with a mild overclock, but the Extreme 4 seems like the better choice for every other reason. Comparing features to ASUS, a company I like, it looks like ASRock trends $40-$50 cheaper for the same feature set on the 270 boards. Sold.
