ASRock Z77 Pro4 (Z77) Motherboard Review
Starting things off with the front of the box, we can see quite a simple design highlighting the main features (555) including LAN, USB and RAM and how they are five times faster. The model name and Z77 logo are printed in the top right and overall the box looks really crisp and clear.
Moving around to the rear of the box, we can see a first glimpse of the motherboard in the top left corner, a bit more of an explanation on the 555 XFast features and some further information on other key aspects of the board and its main benefits including Digi Power and memory support.
Moving inside the box we can see that the bundle is quite simple with a Virtu MVP documentation guide, 555 XFast leaflet, software setup guide, quick installation guide, driver CD, two SATA cables and a rear I/O panel shield plate.
I can’t believe that nobody left a comment around here. It would have been usefull because i’m going to buy this mb and I would’ve liked to see som impresions. Nice review, thanks !
I am also looking at buying this board, hope I am making the right choice?!
Nice review!
I tried the Pro4 MVP H77, Z77 Pro3 and Pro4 and during all tests have been perfect. Asrock has come a long way in a short time and their products are good, nice and cheap.

” Sadly ASRock don’t label which ports utilise which controller either and the manual and website don’t make things clear for the consumer either.”
Ohh yes they do. On page 38 in the manual on the following CD, there is a clear explanation.
“It also adopts ASMedia ASM1061 chipsets that supports Serial ATA3 (SATA3) hard
disks for SATA3_A1 and SATA3_A2 connectors.”
“Please be noted that SATA3_A1 and SATA3_A2 do not support RAID function.
If you want to use RAID function on SATA3 connectors, please use
SATA3_0 and SATA3_1 connectors”
Well this is a bit late, but better late than never. 😀
I bought this board a long time ago with a build I read about online – paired it with an intel i5 something – I have upgraded it to 32 gigs memory and 8 gig gpu nvidia , I need to deal with my processor because its 2019 – What is the best processor I can put in this thing ?- Please let me know and you can save a motherboard’s life!
