ASRock Z87 Extreme 4 and Z87 Pro 3 Motherboards Pictured & Detailed

The Z87 platform is slow but surely creeping out of the darkness and with Haswell about to be released, ASRock and many other motherboard manufacturers are starting to let slip a few details of their new products, some on purpose, but mostly via leaked details as items start shipping out for review, retail and testing by various partners.

Here we have details on the ASRock Z87 Extreme 4 and Z87 Pro 3m, both of which have been pictured and are since available to purchase on Chinese retailer Taobao’s website.

The ASRock Z87 Extreme 4 is a mainstream motherboard, which is priced around $160 US, although US prices are expected to be a little cheaper at around $150 US.

Featuring Z87 PCH, 12 Phase VRM, golden solid state capacitors, dual layer PCB, multiple heatsinks, 4 DDR3 DIMM slots, with supports for up to 32GB of memory @ 2666 MHz O.C. There are three PCI-e 3.0 x16 slots, two PCI-e 3.0 x1 slots and two legacy PCI slots. Add to this the XFast RAM, XFast USB and XFast LAN, 8 SATA 6GB/s port, two USB 3.0 headers, dual HDMI, Display port, E-SATA, DVI, VGA, 8.1 Channel audio (Sound Blaster core “Purity Sound”), Gigabit LAN and a PS/2 port.

The Z87 Pro 3 on the other hand is a little more down to earth, with a price around $100, four phase VRM, single heatsink, a single PCI-3 3.0 x16 slot, three PCI-e 3.0 x1 and two PCI legacy slots. There are 6 USB 3.0 connectors, a HDMI, VGA, DVI, 6 Channel Audio, Gigabit LAN interface.

Both of these motherboards are said to bo officially launched in the first week on June, just in time for Computex 2013.
