ASRock Z97 Extreme6 (LGA 1150) Motherboard Review

Overclocking

The ASRock Z97 Extreme6 had no issues pushing the Core i7 4770K to 4.8GHz with 1.275 volts which is the maximum our chip is capable of without overheating. Overclocking was a breeze, simply key in your target multiplier, key in your target voltage and away you go. The 12 phase VRM is more than adequate of getting the most out of the Core i7 4770K, maybe when the Core i7 4790K “Devil’s Canyon” flagship arrives this motherboard will get a chance to stretch its legs more.
