Ubisoft have happily announced in their press release about Assassin’s Creed 3 becoming their fastest-selling game in the company’s history by hitting 7 Million sold copies just one month after its release with it crossing 3.5 Million sold copies on the first week of release. Assassin’s Creed 3 even made records of getting the highest number of pre-orders too, so its not really surprising to see such numbers.
It will be interesting to see how many PC Gamers are playing Assassin’s Creed 3 in comparison to gamers using consoles, considering many developers do blame piracy to discourage them from making PC exclusive games, although many gamers do believe that the real reason is that it’s much easier to port console games to PC rather than design the games properly for PC gaming.
The stats shows that in solo missions alone, players have more than 82 centuries of gaming time and have done 3 billion assassinations. Ubisoft is also planning to monetize this further by having a series of DLC, including “The Tyranny of King Washington.” Ubisoft also has Season pass which includes all the 3 DLCs, including Hidden secrets and Battle Hardened packs.

Looks like Ubisoft will be having a wonderful Christmas after all!
