Ubisoft is set to release the next big patch for Assassin’s Creed Origins on January 16 with version number 1.2.0. This update paves the way for the upcoming The Hidden Ones expansion and is available on all platforms. That includes PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It also adds a new quest free for all owners of the game. In preparation for the expansion, the game’s map gets an expansion of its own physically with the addition of two new regions. These are Sinai and the Valley of Kings region.

The patch introduces a new quest to the world called “Incoming Threat”, and adds the possibility to sell back outfits to the Weaver shops. All the latest store items from the Nightmare, First Civilization, Gladiator, Wacky and Almighty packs are now added to the Heka chest. Plus, there is now an option to toggle the viability of inventory items on the Gear menu. The patch also introduces several quest fixes including improving cinematic transitions and other issues that may arise from skipping them.
The update size comes in at 3GB for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. Those on Uplay have the patch weighing in at 2.6GB. Meanwhile Steam users get the smallest patch size at only 1.2GB. PC users will also experience improved stability, especially those on Windows 7 experiencing game freezing issues previously. The fast travel action on the map is now also working, as well as the red intensity when in HDR.
