So there we have it, 16 cards put through their paces and our test bench has sure been put to good use this last couple of days. I’m actually surprised how consistent the performance was from all of the cards. It’s clearly a very pretty game, and if you’ve seen even the trailers, you’ll be well aware of this. However, even the GTX 1070 Ti can still get you decent performance at 1080p High Settings. Those on older hardware shouldn’t have much trouble by simply lowering the settings.
As for going above High settings? I’m not sure it’s really needed. It’ll be a serious case of diminishing returns for any GPU. If you’re rocking an RTX 2080 or above, I don’t think you’ll have issues maxing it out at 1080p.
For 1440p, the RTX 3070 or the 5700XT should easily max the game out, assuming you have a strong enough CPU and a good amount of RAM to back it up.
4K is where compromises may have to be made though, as only the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 were able to really push the game. I expect a few updates will fix that. However, just dropping the rendering resolution a little bit can go a long way without impacting the overall visual quality.
