Yesterday pictures were released of Zotac’s GTX 560Ti 448 core which in very true Zotac fashion was basically a repackaged and rebranded Nvidia reference design card. The ASUS 448 Core (which is 64 cores more thana normal GTX 560Ti) is different to that and will utilise a Direct CU II triple slot cooler for maximum cooling performance. Asus will run at reference 732MHz core and 1464MHz memory, it has 1280MB of 320-bit GDDR5 memory and at this clock the memory speed is 3.8Gbps.
We also know that these new GTX 560Ti 448 core cards will support 3 way SLI, but on a triple slot cooler you may need a very large case to do this with ASUS’ version of the card. It also comes with two six pin connectors and draws up to 210W of power.
Nvidia’s suggested retail price for reference 560 TI with 448 cores is $289 which as about $40 more than the current GTX 560Ti’s which go for about $250 depending on the model. The launch date is expected to be the 29th of November.
