“AIDA64 Extreme Edition is a streamlined Windows diagnostic and benchmarking software for home users. We run AIDA64’s dedicated disk benchmark of our SATA III Patriot Wildfire 120GB SSD. We always ensure we use the native SATA III 6Gbps ports with the most up to date AHCI drivers on the motherboard to ensure optimal performance. We don’t use our boot drive to avoid the effects of long term SSD degradation. Like with all other tests we end all other background tasks and programs that could affect the benchmark result.
Fantastic review and a nice product too! If someone wants to build a system around a current gen premium Asus board then I guess this is the cheapest option. Yet the irony is that it’s somewhat expensive for an APU build! But one look at Asus’s Z87/H87 offerings in this price range and you’d know this value for money.
Totally agree with you on those two e-SATAs – Asus messed this one up! (Should’ve included as a con!!)
