ASUS has unintentionally revealed the existence of AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 9000X3D processors with 3D V-Cache technology through a reference on its microsite for AMD 800-series motherboards. This accidental disclosure has fueled speculation that AMD’s new high-performance CPUs might be launching sooner than expected.
ASUS Website Source Code Hints at New Processors
The revelation came from the source code of an ASUS webpage dedicated to X870E and X870 chipset motherboards. The code includes mentions of the yet-to-be-announced Ryzen 9000X3D processors, which will be based on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture and feature enhanced L3 cache due to the 3D V-Cache technology. Although the page doesn’t disclose specific details about these CPUs, it suggests that AMD is gearing up for a significant release aimed at gamers and enthusiasts.
These new processors are expected to offer substantial improvements in gaming and single-threaded applications due to the added cache. However, there is some concern that the processors might not be overclockable, which could limit their appeal to certain users.
The timing of this leak has led to speculation that the official launch of these processors could be imminent, possibly coinciding with the release of AMD’s new 800-series motherboards.
