ASUS Alpha and Omega Motherboards at CES 2019

ASUS Alpha and Omega

I guess if you’re going to create godly motherboards, you may as well give them a godly name, right? That’s exactly what ASUS has done here at CES 2019 and damn are they impressive. The Alpha comes with support for AMD X399 TR4 processors. It sports 3 x M.2 and 8 x SATA ports for plenty of storage. There’s also a plethora of USB connections, 21 in total actually!

That’s not forgetting AC-9260 Wireless, Quantia 10G LAN, and Gigabit LAN. All of this is backed up with their aluminium heatsink design, a built-in OLED live dash, and much more.

Omega

This is the Intel version, supporting LGA 2066 X299 CPUs. It’ll handle 8 DIMMS of 4266 MHz DDR4, features the same excellent range of WiFi and LAN connections, and the same flagship ROG SupremeFX 8-Channel S1220 audio. Of course, you still get a huge bank of M.2, U.2, SATA, and USB also.

Both motherboards are launching soon and expect prices to be wallet busting. However, when it comes to enthusiast systems, these may turn out to be the number one boards of choice for 2019.
