ASUS Announces Google Hangouts Meet Hardware Kit

ASUS and Google are teaming up to deliver a new hardware kit specifically for use with Google’s hangouts. The Hangouts Meet Hardware kit consists of everything a user needs to remotely participate in a group meeting. It includes a touchscreen controller, speaker microphone, 4K camera and an ASUS Chromebox.
Powered by ASUS Chromebox CN62
At the heart of the kit sits the ASUS Chromebox CN62. It runs on Chrome OS and has an Intel Core i7-5500U processor. It has both Gigabit LAN support and 802.11ac Wi-Fi so network connectivity is not an issue. The CN62 also has a 16GB M.2 (NGFF) SSD with four USB 3.0 ports and an SD card slot, so storage options are not lacking. There is also an HDMI port for display output and it has a very compact 4.88 x 4.88 x 1.65 inch (WxDxH), VESA-mountable size so it can fit almost anywhere.
Geared for Business and Enterprise Users
Together with its Huddly GO 4K sensor camera, 10.1-inch MIMO VUE capacitive touchscreen, as well as a Google designed speaker+micropohone system, the Hangouts kit is ideal for collaborative scenarios. Up to five cameras can connect at the same time, and up to 50 active users can participate. The setup also allows for real-time management and hands-free security updating.
Pricing and Availability
The Hangouts Meet hardware kit (excluding the license) costs £2,238.00 inc. VAT. Availability begins early November.
