With NVIDIA’s announcement of the RTX 4060 family of graphics cards also comes the announcements from AIBs for their respective variants of these new graphics cards, one of these AIBs is ASUS with their Strix, TUF, Dual and Dual White variants.
Starting off ASUS’s 4060 collections is the flagship ROG Strix cooler. This cooler offers an unbeatable balance of performance, features and bold style with the same ‘cyberpunk’ flair as other 40 series Strix cards. The cooler has been slimmed down to a 3.1-slot design with a length of 311.4mm for more compatibility with cases. The cooler features three 11-blade Axial-tech fans capable of pushing 21% more air volume than previous generation models and still features the ventilated backplate for air to pass through. The Strix card offers additional features including a Dual BIOS switch and two FanConnect II headers to sync case fans with the graphics card.
Up next is my favourite graphics card cooler design, the ASUS TUF RTX 4060 Ti. This model offers a stripped-down industrial style with all the essential features and rock-solid performance consumers used to come to expect from ASUS. The cooler features a slightly thicker heatsink than the Strix with a 3.12-slot footprint but has a shorter length of 300mm. Again this cooler also features the 11-blade Axial-tech fans with a ventilated backplate for maximum airflow. The TUF also includes a Dual-BIOS switch to prioritize performance or quiet operation.
Finally, ASUS has revealed their Dual designs which are considerably smaller than the other two and more ideal for those with smaller systems. The Dual series as per its name features two Axial-tech fans with retro-futuristic design elements across the shroud bringing a sort of middle ground between the Strix and TUF designs. Like the bigger cards, the two dual cards in white and black both feature a ventilated backplate to ensure maximum airflow.
The ASUS RTX 4060 Ti 8GB models are available from May 24th from an MSRP of $399. You can learn more at ASUS.com.
