ASUS has just officially announced their new ROG Gladius II Gaming Mouse. This may seem a little strange, given that we reviewed the darn thing a month ago, but we’re guessing this re-announcement falls in line with the mouse now being ready in the market.
With a right-hand ergonomic design, the Gladius II comes finely tuned for high-end gaming performance. It comes equipped with one of the best sensors we’ve ever tested too. If you’re an FPS gamer, then it’s certainly going to be appealing. Equipped with Omron switches, which feature a removable design. You can take the switches out, replace them with different ones; completely changing the click response of the mouse to suit your taste. If that isn’t enough enough. A dedicated sniping button, an advanced 12000 DPI optical sensor and ASUS Aura RGB lighting technology complete the package.
“Gladius II has a DPI switch that allows for instant switching between two sensitivity levels. It also features a DPI target button: Holding the button down lowers the DPI for more accurate sniping or raises it for faster scrolling across the screen; default DPI settings return as soon as the button is released. Gladius II uses a high-end 12,000 DPI optical sensor to ensure the speed, resolution and accuracy needed for an optimal FPS gaming experience.”
Those of you love your RGB lighting will no doubt be fans of ASUS Aura. You can pick from over 16 million colours, as well as presets and effects to suit your taste. Of course, with Aura Sync, you can match up colours and effects with other compatible devices. This includes graphics cards, motherboards, and much more. That means you can spend just as much time tinkering with colours as most people spend gaming.
“Aura Sync lets users achieve perfect synchronised lighting harmony by pairing their Gladius II with ASUS motherboards and other compatible components; while quick and easy lighting synchronisation between ROG Gladius II and ROG Claymore can be achieved with a press of the latter’s ROG Sync hotkey.”
ROG Gladius II has a 2-meter braided cable for desktop use and a 1-meter rubber cable to take to LAN parties. There’s also a detachable cable design providing easy cable management. Finally, the mouse comes with a handy ROG pouch for safe storage.
