ASUS Atlas Shark RTX 4070 Announced in China

At Computex, ASUS showed off their zero cables Megalodon RTX 4070 card which also featured a new cooler design which has now been released in China with the default power connectors with the name Atlas Shark.

ASUS Atlas Shark RTX 4070

The card as shared by VideoCardz is a part of the ASUS’ Megalodon series which is a China exclusive series that was used for the previous 30 series generation. The RTX 4070 card features all the expected specs with 5888 cores and 12GB of VRAM but it comes with a factory overclock of 2520 MHz as well as a DUAL BIOS switch. Unlike the concept which we saw at Computex, this model of the card ships with a standard 8-pin power connector. The cooler itself features three axial-tech dual-bearing fans and measures 310mm taking up 2.5 slots plus it features a reinforced ventilated backplate with a shadow of the anime girl mascot on the backplate. The design itself is fairly pleasant with its symmetrical outer rings and a blue strip along the side with the ASUS logo which I’d guess could feature blue LEDs judging by its slight transparency.

Features

  • Powered by NVIDIA DLSS3, more efficient Ada Lovelace architecture, and faster ray tracing
  • Fourth-generation Tensor Core: Up to 4x performance improvement with DLSS 3 compared to traditional image rendering alone
  • 3rd Generation RT Core: Up to 2x ray tracing performance
  • OC version: boost frequency 2550 MHz (overclocking mode)/2520 MHz (default mode)
  • Axial fan designs feature smaller fan hubs for longer blades and annular seals for increased downward air pressure
  • Reinforced backplate Vented backplate works in conjunction with axial fans to reduce noise levels and keep GPU temperature tightly controlled
  • Double ball bearings have a longer service life than fans designed with oil bearings

Availability

This card will only be available in China and currently does not have any retail listings so the price is unknown. The card is currently listed on ASUS’ Chinese website so if you would like to learn more visit ASUS.com.cn.
