ASUS is introducing the BE27AQLB monitor designed for business use. The company has been releasing several game-oriented monitors lately, but a business-grade display is rare. What exactly differentiates a gaming monitor from a business grade monitor? It mostly has to do with the features. Monitors designed for gaming for example, require higher refresh rates and faster response times. Displays used for business, will be used for spreadsheets and other productivity tools so a faster refresh rate is not a priority.
The BE27AQLB uses an IPS panel with a 27-inch WQHD 2560×1440 resolution. This panel provides 77% more space than a 27″ 1080p Full HD display. It also provides 25% sharper image due to higher pixel density. The bezels are very slim, making it ideal for multi-monitor productivity setups. The IPS panel also provides 178-degree viewing angle so color-shifting is minimal on both horizontal and vertical planes. In terms of connectivity, the BE27AQLB has a dual-link DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, mini-DisplayPort, and four USB 3.0 ports.
Since the BE27AQLB will find use for several hours a day, comfort is important. This is why the stand is very versatile, able to pivot and swivel 90 degrees. Users can also tilt the display from -5 to 35 degrees and adjust the height all the way from 0 to 150mm. This stand also comes with a mini-PC mounting kit for offices that use a compact-PC to save space. It simply uses a VESA mount without having to remove the stock stand.
