Asus are currently in the process of releasing a new ATX motherboard for the Japanese market which will be based around the top-end AMD 990FX and SB950 chipset combination that we’re used to on the Crosshair V already released and selling well for other global markets.
As expected, the board features full support for AM3+ processors, includes up to 32GB of DDR3 memory through 4 DIMM slots and includes four PCI-Express x16 2.0 ports and two PCI-Express x1 2.0 slots. We also find eight SATA III 6Gb/s storage ports and two eSATA III 6Gb/s ports.
Around the rear of the board are a total of twelve USB 2.0 ports and a single Gigabit Ethernet LAN connector and all of this comes on a full-size ATX form factor board.
Expected release date is November 23rd meaning that stores in the region of Japan should already be starting to stock them and price should be around 23,000 Yen ($279 USD).
