ASUS F1A75-I Deluxe mini-ITX boards ready for sale

These beautiful Mini-ITX motherboards were showcased back at Computex 2011 in Taiwan but they are finally ready now after a long wait. The Mini-ITX market seems to be becoming more and more competitive every year thanks to more companies getting involved, like Zotac, Gigabyte and ASUS compared to a few years ago when Intel were the main producer of mini-ITX boards as they were pushing their new low voltage integrated graphics Atom processors.

As the name suggest the new ASUS board will be based on the FM1 Llano architecture as it utilises the new A75 chip set which has native USB 3.0 and SATA III support. The board supports the ASUS specific technologies of EPU ( Energy saving) and TPU (auto overclocking). An impressive 4+1 phase VRM is included for stable power delivery when running at stock or overclocked speeds. ASUS’ UEFI BIOS is also equipped on this board which makes it very user friendly.

In terms of Non-ASUS specific features there is support for 2 full DDR3 DIMM slots up to 1866MHz speeds (the max supported by Llano) which support a maximum capacity of 32GB (if you can find two 16GB sticks of 1866MHz RAM!). There is also a single PCI-E 16X 2.0 slot in case you want to run a discrete GPU or a HD 6600/6500 series GPU to crossfire with the onboard APU.

Connectivity is also impressive, it boasts four SATA III ports, an e-SATA port, four USB 3.0 ports (2 front 2 back), built in 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, 6 Channel Audio, SPDIF, DVI, HDMI, Display Port and USB 2.0 ports. ASUS didn’t give a price but these boards look fantastic and are jam packed with features, they will surely make impressive HTPC’s that might even be able to stretch to a bit of gaming.
