Asus GeForce Matrix GTX 580 Platinum 1536MB Graphics Card Review

The front of the box sticks to the typical ROG styling of packaging with a bright red background and little information on the front. A few logos are present towards the bottom to notify you of this cards features as implemented by Nvidia.
Also keeping with the way that the ROG team do things, we find that the front of the box actually opens up by use of a flap panel. By opening this up it reveals a whole host of unique features that Asus have implemented on this Matrix GTX 580 including voltage tweak buttons and the famous DirectCUII cooler.
Another benefit of the box having a flap panel is that it gives a first hand look at the card inside through the plastic transparent window. From this angle, the card doesn’t look out of the ordinary and if anything looks to be of a normal proportion.
Turning the packaging around and taking a look at the box we see some of the main unique features highlighted again as well as a specifications table which makes for a good read before purchasing.
Inside the box we find that the ROG team give you a sufficient amount of accessories though with most ROG based products we expect a little more, especially considering the sheer size of the outer packaging. Inside is a SpeedStep guide, driver installation disc, SLI bridge, DVI to VGA adapter, ROG case badge sticker and two twin 6-pin to single 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors.
