ASUS & Gigabyte Register 3070 Ti 16GB Graphics Cards

Earlier this week, Nvidia confirmed the long-rumoured launch of its newly revised 3080 graphics card which, basically, featured an additional 2GB of VRAM when compared to the original model. While this was all certainly all good and very interesting it was, yet again, surprising to see that there was no mention of any of the other supposed VRAM revisions and particularly so the 3070 Ti which, according to sources, was set to get a huge upgrade to 16GB of memory.

So, with this in mind, is it actually happening? Well, following a wave of EEC registrations from both Gigabyte and ASUS, it certainly appears to be the case!

ASUS & Gigabyte Register 3070 Ti 16GB Graphics Cards!

Following a report via Videocardz, both Gigabyte and ASUS have recently registered a huge wave of new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics cards. Within the listing, absolutely masses of references are made to the GPU featuring 16GB of VRAM instead of the 8GB found on the original base version. Now, of course, EEC registrations happen all the time and should never be taken as a guarantee. With two huge manufacturers both confirming the same thing, however, it would appear that not only is the revised 3070 Ti a reality, but it may well be set for launch in the very near future!

When Will It Be Confirmed?

This is a tricky one. Given that Nvidia did not confirm this alongside their new 3080, one would presume that they are allowing for a gap between the products. A decision that makes sense and particularly so given that the new 3070 Ti, featuring a whopping 16GB of VRAM, might be viewed as the more preferable model by consumers. And yes, I put myself in that category. Between the new 3080 and this 3070 Ti, the latter is tempting me significantly more!

I would, however, presume that with the EEC registrations dropping, the revised 3070 Ti will likely be set to land within the next 4-6 weeks. And judging by this news, both Gigabyte and ASUS are clearly ready!
