According to the latest rumours, NVIDIA is planning to release the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050Ti simultaneously within the next two weeks. Given the accuracy of previous leaks, this date is probably going to be correct and it shouldn’t be long before a new batch of NVIDIA budget cards arrives. Recently, a snapshot of the ASUS GTX 1050Ti was taken which suggests the final release is imminent. Interestingly, this card doesn’t contain the usual STRIX branding and the cooler looks fairly basic. In fact, it’s not a new design and used on the GTX 1060 3GB which remained exclusive to the Chinese market. As you can see from the box, the card will sport 4GB of VRAM and employ dual ball-bearing fans. By the looks of things, the product has a single piece heatsink and acceptable fin array given the low thermal output.
Unfortunately, it’s impossible to tell from the photograph if the card in question utilises a 6-pin PCI-E connector. Please note, this is optional on the GTX 1050Ti and it will be interesting to see the approach from AIB partners. If you’re in the market for a new budget graphics card, it might be worth waiting a few weeks so see how it all pans out.
