US retailer Bottom Line Telecommunications has listed Nvidia’s new 28nm flagship GPU for a price of $566.75. The sale page mentions that “You may order this product regardless of availability,” it would be shipped as soon as it’s available. The price is very interesting, it puts the GTX 680 in direct price competition with AMD. Although we don’t know whether this is a custom cooler model or a reference design, but given the fact it is already up for pre-order we’re assuming its $566.75 for a reference GTX 680 card in the USA at the moment. It would seem that the GTX 680’s similar price with superior performance may force AMD to drop prices on its HD 7970 and 7950 models.
