ASUS is announcing the availability of their latest B350M-PLUS TUF motherboard for Ryzen AM4 CPUs. The color scheme is black, yellow and gray since ASUS no longer uses the military brown color of the original TUF boards. This new B350M-PLUS uses a micro-ATX form factor which is optimal for the B350 chipset features.
As an ASUS TUF motherboard, it has reinforcements for the PCIe x16 slot. This provides a 1.6x the retention force and 1.8x the strength in comparison to conventional PCIe slots. There are also twice as much ESD protection fuses for all the ports. In fact, all the connectors have ESD protection including the LAN, USB and display connectors. The 4+2-phase VRM also uses military-grade TUF chokes and 5K solid capacitors for longer life and TUF durability.
The audio uses a Realtek ALC887 HD codec and the network uses a Realtek RTL8111H solution as well. For storage, there are six SATA ports, one M.2 slot supporting PCIe x4 NVMe and USB 3.1 Gen 2 10Gbps at the rear. And while it does not have RGB LED lighting onboard, it does have an RGB LED header so users can connect their RGB LED device or RGB LED strip and control it via the ASUS desktop software.
