ASUS is introducing a new AM4 socket motherboard using the A320 chipset alled the EX-A320M-Gaming Motherboard. The affordable motherboard is ideal for NetCafe use, providing plenty of the basics appealing to gamers. The PCB even features a black and red gaming-oriented aesthetic so it looks pretty good through a see-through side-panel window. The smaller form factor is common for budget solutions as these often do not require a lot of expansion slots. The A320 chipset itself does not allow overclocking unlike the X370 and B350 chipset, however it has M.2 NVMe storage support.
There are four DIMM slots available and has a heatsinked CPU VRM, despite not having any overclocking capability. There is also a metal reinforcement surrounding the PCIe x16 slot, providing 1.6x stronger retention force in comparison to a bare slot. The USB sockets also have higher overvoltage tolerance to safeguard against damage from plugging in various devices.
A Realtek ALC887 HD audio codec provides three analog audio connectors at the rear IO with Japanese audio capacitors on the circuit. The Gigabit LAN controller is also by Realtek, specifically the RTL8111H. This port has LANguard anti-surge protection as well.
This motherboard now in the Asian market, but will be available in the UK soon for only £72.99 with VAT.
