ASUS is announcing their GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card lineup starting with three models with different designs. One uses a blower-style cooler, while a new Cerberus version offers dual-fan cooling and a third high-end option provides triple-fan cooling.
ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
The “Turbo” part refers to the high-RPM blower-style fan which exhausts exclusively at the rear. Unlike other blower-style fans however, it uses dual ball-bearings so it has twice the lifespan of a single ball-bearing fan. It is also different from other standard GTX 1070 Ti due to having dual HDMI ports for VR use.
ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
The ROG Strix video cards have the most advanced cooling system from ASUS. It features triple IP5X dust-proof fans and has a 0dB wing-blade fan design. The heatsink underneath for the GTX 1070 Ti version features the new MaxContact design with enhanced copper heat-spreaders. It provides up to 10x flatter surface for up to 2x more contact area for the GPU vs standard GPU heatsinks.
The ROG Strix version also features Aura Sync support, enabling users to completely color-coordinate their entire rig. Like the Turbo, the ROG Strix version also features two HDMI ports for VR-friendly gaming.
ASUS Cerberus GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
The new Cerberus model uses two of the IP5X 0dB fans. What sets it apart from others however, is that this card has been rigorously stress tested before leaving the ASUS factory. It has been certified under a 144 hour diskless system stress test and benchmarking, 15x longer than the industry standard. So if you want reliability and durability, this is the version for you.
