ASUS Introduces the ROG Strix Fusion 500 Gaming Headset

ASUS is launching their latest high-end ROG Strix Fusion 500 gaming headset. It features RGB light synchronization, wirelessly controllable via Bluetooth. This support for ASUS Aura RGB lighting even includes static, breathing, color cycle and music reactive behaviour options. It is not all about the eye-candy however. The exclusive Essence driver has a wide frequency response of 20-40kHz, producing deep bass and clear details. It uses Hi-Fi grade ESS ES9018 DAC and SABRE 9601K amp to deliver unparalleled gaming audio. Unlike other gaming headsets, ASUS boasts a new virtual 7.1 surround experience developed with Bongiovi Acoustics. Bongiovi’s team of audio professionals offers unique, innovative acoustic solutions that deliver recording studio quality to meet the growing demand for a more immersive user experience.

Like every great headset, it also needs an equally great microphone. The ROG Strix Fusion 500 features a digital boom mic with a sound-processing algorithm for clearer in-game communication. Folding up the microphone will also mute it automatically, without the need to change the settings manually. Moreover, the entire headset is comfortable to wear. This allows for longer use whether gaming or simply listening with less fatigue. The ear cushions made with the combination of protein leather and fabric mesh insulates external sounds while absorbing sweat. Each ear cup is also oval shape in order to conform with the natural shape of the ear.

Another feature which sets this headset apart from other gaming headsets is its intuitive touch control plate. Users can directly control the headsets features like they would touch a smartphone’s surface. Except of course, it is the side of the headset. No wires, and no buttons visible. Simply swipe or tap on various directions to control playback, pause, adjust volume or change RGB sync options.

Pricing Information and Availability

The ASUS ROG Strix Fusion 500 high-end gaming headset is now available for $180 USD.
