ASUS Introduces the PA248Q ProArt Professional LCD Display

ASUS today introduces the PA248Q ProArt Series LCD display – a design professional-grade monitor that delivers excellent color fidelity and reproduction along with exclusive productivity features such as four USB 3.0 ports.

Excellent color reproduction from every angle
The ASUS PA248Q is ideal for photography and design professionals and is precision calibrated straight from the factory to deliver superior color fidelity right out of the box. It features a 16:10 aspect ratio, 1920 x 1200 IPS LED-backlit panel for 100% sRGB color reproduction along with a 178° wide view angle to ensure quality visuals and minimal onscreen color shift from almost any viewing position.

Each PA248Q guarantees industry-leading color accuracy, having been calibrated to minimize the color difference to Delta E less than 5. It has customizable hue and saturation controls with independent color adjustments for red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow. In addition, it delivers ultra-smooth visuals thanks to a 6 ms response time, ensuring users have a lag-free viewing experience when it comes to watching movies or playing games.

The world’s first monitor with four USB 3.0 ports

The PA248Q sets a standard by being the world’s first monitor with four USB 3.0 ports; users can easily plug in their devices and experience ultra-fast data transmission speeds that are up to 10 times that of current USB 2.0 standards. An extensive array of connectivity and compatibility options are available with the PA248Q including DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, and D-sub; the PA248Q also allows users to use up to two or three displays simultaneously.

ASUS-exclusive features and design

ASUS included its exclusive QuickFit Virtual Scale Function with the PA248Q, allowing users to preview photos and documents on screen in their actual sizes. QuickFit Virtual Scale supports A4, letter, 8″ x 10″, 5″ x 7″, 4″ x 6″, 3″ x 5″, and 2″ x 2″ sizes. It also has alignment, centimeter and inch-based grids for added flexibility. QuickFit can be activated via a simple hotkey. The PA248Q also provides users with the choice of seven different background colors to select.

ASUS Splendid Video Intelligence Technology optimizes color and image fidelity by processing signals with an analog-digital converter; this corrects sharpness, color and contrast to produce enhanced visuals. It also features six preset modes (Scenery, Theater, Standard, sRGB, and two user modes) for optimized colors depending on the situation.

The PA248Q has a 5-way navigation key that acts as a joystick that gives access to the QuickFit function along with all OSD functions. It features customizable OSD shortcuts through two designated hotkeys for quick access to the 10 most frequently used OSD functions. Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and Picture-by-Picture (PBP) lets users view images from different signals and lets them switch between the main and PIP source, including audio, easily.

Ergonomic, award-winning design

As with most ASUS displays, the PA248Q has an ergonomic design, with tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment to give users a comfortable viewing experience. Its design has garnered accolades at the reddot Design awards and IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards).
