ASUS IoT has today announced the PE1100N ultra-compact computer for AI inferencing at the edge and powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin Series.
The PE1100N is an ultra-compact computer which is powered by the NVIDIA Jetson platform with an efficient ARM processor and embedded NVIDIA GPU. This mini PC delivers energy-efficient computing with powerful AI-inferencing capabilities making it great for various scalable edge AI applications. When compared against previous generation devices, the PE1100N can provide up to 5X the performance with up to 100 trillion operations per second and 18X better frames per watt than traditional x86 platforms. This PC achieves all of this with a fanless design with a rugged extruded aluminium chassis offering efficient and silent cooling.
The PE1100N is equipped with an extensive collection of I/O ports for many industrial purposes. The selection includes LAN, DIO, COM, USB 3.2 and Type-A plus some models feature CAN bus. For easy system maintenance, the PE1100N benefits from a Micro-USB debug port. For connectivity, users can add an optional WiFi and Bluetooth module for seamless wireless and cloud connectivity as well as an M.2 B Key for a 4G/5G cell module.
PE1100N is available in two distinct flavors – powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX, or Jetson Orin Nano – so there’s a model to suit all AI-performance requirements. ASUS IoT also offers board-level configuration to fulfill bespoke customer requests.
