Asus Launches New ROG and Prime X399 Motherboards

Asus is releasing two new ROG and Prime X399 motherboards for AMD’s Threadripper processors. The pair of SocketTR4 – one Republic of Gamers (ROG) and one Prime board – are built for “power users, gaming enthusiasts and prosumers”. Indeed, the ROG Zenith Extreme and Prime X399-A both feature:

  • 4x PCIe x16 slots
    • However, only the ROG Zenith Extreme provides space for multiple GPUs.
  • One-touch intelligent overclocking
  • Refined cooling control
  • Advanced connectivity
  • RGB LEDs

Pricing and Availability

The ROG Zenith Extreme and Asus Prime X399-A launch on 10th August. However, pricing is unknown.
