ASUS launches premium NX90 mirror-like multimedia notebook

At the start of the year, Asus gave us all an inkling on the NX90 multimedia notebook, and with the build up to Christmas, it would only seem logical to release some more information on it including it’s features, it’s design and its astonishing price point.

Asus dub the NX90 as a work of art, and rightly so, as the leading manufacturer have teamed up with multimedia specialist Bang & Olufsen.

Specifications of this head-turning device includes an 18.4″ screen, high definition naturally. Also included are two GIGANTIC speakers all finished off with a polished aluminium finish and dual touchpad design.

When you hear names to the likes of Selfridges and Harrods you automatically have that sinking feeling that it’s going to be expensive. So we’re give you some faith back and tell you that Comet, Scan and eBuyer will also stock this work of art, but then we’re take it all away again and tell you that this machine is going to be priced at £2,499……

Asus have informed the media that the notebook breaks visual and audio boundaries of what is expected from a desktop replacement notebook. So that makes the price all the better.

Asus, along with Bang & Olufsen also teamed up with designer David Lewis who has worked on Bang & Olufsen’s products in the past to give the mirror-like casing on the notebook, this gives it a slight Je n’ais sais Quois.

The Asus NX90 is said to be on par with full surround systems on the market today due to the 3-4 times bigger than a traditional laptop speaker setup giving crystal clarity with no distortion.
