ASUS has decided to throw some much-needed love at its AM4-socket-based motherboard lineup. Thanks to a recent BIOS update, these motherboards will now support Zen-based AMD Ryzen desktop processors. What makes these CPUs stand out is that they feature Radeon Vega graphics Accelerated Processing Units. The new Ryzen 2000 Series APUs rely on up to four Zen-based CPU cores with integrated Radeon Vega graphics. While not the most powerful gaming systems out there, these solutions offer quite a bit of value for their price.
You can update your own motherboard using the ASUS USB BIOS Flashback or ASUS EZ Flash 3 tool. There’s also an updated graphics driver available at the ASUS support website, which should improve the overall performance. It’s also worth noting that the BIOS update is available immediately worldwide, so you don’t have to worry about any regional restrictions. It’s true that graphics cards prices are crazy right now. Consequently, integrated solutions such as Ryzen 2000 Series APUs will become more and more popular. As long as they’re able to deliver playable gaming experiences in popular titles, that is.
Do you own an Asus motherboard, and if so, are you satisfied with its feature set and performance?
