Back in July Intel and ASUS announced a partnership that would transfer the rights of Intel’s NUC products to ASUS following the companies discontinuing of investment into the business. Today ASUS officially owns NUC and is launching its products.
As of September 1st, Intel’s NUC mini PC’s have become a member of the ASUS Product lineup and all future NUC products will be manufactured and distributed by ASUS. The NUC product line covers various areas in computing from gaming to business and edge compute proving equipment in a wide range of areas. Currently, the ASUS website has listings for NUC 11, 12 and 13 products including NUC Pro, Extreme and Essential. For the future ASUS will be producing NUC products instead of Intel implementing some of their expertise in the manufacturing of hardware.
