The world renown manufacturer, Asus, is preparing a new member in its Eee PC line for next month. The Eee PC 1225B is set to be an 12″ format netbook powered by an AMD Brazos APU.
Running Windows 7 Home Premium, it features an 11.6″ LED backlit display with resolution 1366 x 768. As with many netbooks nowadays, the specifications are relative to the costumer choice.
The Eee PC 1225B is therefore powered by either an AMD C-60 1.0 GHz or a more powerful E-450 1.65 GHz. It will be equipped by 2/4 GB of RAM, up to 750 GB of storage and comes with integrated DirectX 11 graphics (Radeon HD 6290 for the C-60 and Radeon HD 6320 for the E-450).
Connectivity features include a 0.3-megapixel webcam, LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, optional Bluetooth 3.0, an SD/MMC card reader, USB 2.0 and 3.0 as well as D-sub and HDMI outputs.
Stereo speakers are incorporated, and it is power by a 6-cell battery providing up to 6 hours of operation on a single charge.
The unit measures 296 x 200 x 28-35 mm and weights 1.44 kg. It will be available in five colours; grey, red, silver, black and white.
Set to become available sometime next month, the Eee PC 1225B should start at around €349.
