ASUS is expanding their portfolio of ProArt monitors with the launch and availability of the ProArt PA27AC. It is a 27-inch WQHD IPS monitor with frameless design. More importantly, it has 100% of sRGB color gamut coverage, and is factory-calibrated for excellent color accuracy (DeltaE<2). Moreover, it features the ASUS ProArt Calibration Technology for advanced adjustments including a 14-bit lookup table for color accuracy and 5×5 grid uniformity testing.
The monitor also has a Thunderbolt 3 port, supporting data transfers at up to 40 Gbps. Furthermore, it has USB-C power delivery providing up to 45W of power to external devices. Essentially making the display a creative hub.
Other than the pair of USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports (1x in, 1x out), it has an HDMI2.0a, a DisplayPort 1.2, and a pair of HDMI 1.4 ports. The package already includes all the necessary cables, including the Thunderbolt 3 cable so with the pre-calibration it is ready to use out of the box. Literally.
The ASUS PA27AC monitor also sits on an elegant aluminium stand. Which can rotate the display into portrait mode and has a cable management hook in the rear.
This monitor was actually announced as early as December last year. However, it is only showing up in retailers now. The official MSRP is $699 USD.
