ASUS has quietly published a product page for a new gaming laptop called the FX503. As the name suggests, this model is a step up from their existing FX502 gaming laptop. The previous touted as having “power and style on-the-go”. The new FX503 naturally features newer 7th generation Intel Core processor options on an Intel HM175 Express chipset. The screen size remains the same at 15.6-inches having 16:9 aspect ratio and full-HD resolution 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz.
Users can get it with either an i7-7700HQ processor or an Intel Core i5 7300HQ processor. Two SO-DIMM sockets are available, which are able to house up to 32GB of SDRAM. Since it is a gaming laptop, users can also choose between either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or GTX 1060.
In terms of storage, it is quite flexible having options that include 1TB 5400RPM or 7200RPM SATA HDD, or a 1TB of 5400RPM SSH-8GB drive. It also supports SATA or PCIe M.2 SSDs and is available with either 128, 256, or 512GB capacity.
While it is heavier than the FX502 by only 100 grams, it has a smaller, more streamlined body measuring 384 x 262 x 24 mm (WxDxH). That is with the 4-cell 64 Whrs battery included.
Like all most gaming laptops, the keyboards have backlit illumination and make use of chiclet-style keys. It also includes an HD webcam and a built-in 802.11 AC (2×2) Wi-Fi card. Three USB 3.0 Type-A ports are also available for external storage or peripheral connectivity.
Users can get the FX503 with either Windows 10 Home or 10 Pro.
