Final Thoughts
The 6900 series is currently AMD’s flagship range of cards and boast a lot of new features in regards to power consumption and heat dissipation. Thee 6950 we looked at today has all of the latest features expected including DirectX 11 support, huge leaps in terms of tessellation features and also supports CrossFire for multiple graphics card configurations.
Another key feature of this card is the Dual BIOS which allows the user to flash the card’s BIOS without fear of breaking it, as a flick of a switch will give you the facility to switch back to the un-altered original BIOS. This will of course will be a hit with overclockers and with the news that a lot of cards being able to unlock performance of a 6970, it gives more of a reason to buy a 6950.
Sadly we wasn’t able to test that functionality on this card but from the overclocking results that we saw we can only assume that this card won’t be one of the golden unlocking 6950’s though you may be lucky in getting one that will.
