Asus Radeon HD 7790 Graphics Card Review

I don’t want to really repeat myself again about the DirectCU II cooler, but it has to be said that it is one of my favoured options out there and yet again I’ll let the figures speak for them self as to why its one of the best out there. To top this off, Asus have made a card that’s not only quiet, but very cool as well. Now I know at this point that some will jump down my throat over this and say that the ambient temperature has a lot to do with the temperatures recorded, but what I will point out is that give or take a couple of degrees, my office and test bench area stays at a settled temperature and I test all my cards once the office has warmed up a little from the early morning chill.

Moving back on to the card itself, Asus again have shown that they know how to put a card together and have also proven why they are one of the best options in terms of performance at the same time. The latter point is not just on the front of stock performance, but also comes to stand especially when over clocking. I’ve said before and I will say again that if you want to go for top end clock speeds (for example if you’re a HWBot user) then a DirectCU card would be my choice.

The proven reliability, top end performance and amazing coolers that Asus use is topped off with a price tag that may come a little higher than the other options that are out there, but as with all things, its a case that if you want the best, then expect to pay that little bit more.

This may be shorter conclusion than normal, but in essence Asus have shone through once more with another awesome card the gives top end performance and a cooler that offers 20% better performance that as we know is not just talk, I’ve got no struggle in saying that this on the entry level end of the market an over clockers ideal card.
