As we move around the board, we can see another USB 3.0 header and the typical 24-pin ATX power connector. Just to the right of this is where we find the Go button, switches for the PCI-Express lanes, Asus Probelt for monitoring voltages, start and reset buttons and the famous LN2 control and debug LED.
Moving to around the socket area and its cooling, we find more power connectors with an eight pin and also a four pin set of connectors. We can only assume at this time that it will provide extra stability to the board when overclocking and provide ample power to the CPU and memory.
Not ending there in terms of power, we also find a PCI-Express 6-pin power connector towards the top PCI-Express slot. We’ve see connectors like this on other boards from Asus which are for use when using quad GPU configurations, and assists in providing power and in turn; stability.
Moving around to the rear of the board is where we find a whole heap of various connectors. We have a PS2 mouse/keyboard combo port, eight USB 2.0 ports (of which one can be used in conjunction with ROG connect) and four USB 3.0 ports. There is also a button for resetting CMOS, and another for utilising the ROG Connect functionality. On top of all of this, we find a Bluetooth module, two eSATA ports and an Intel based Gigabit Ethernet connector. Finally, in terms of audio, they include an optical S/PDIF connector and 7.1-channel Realtek audio ports.
