ASUS Releases LGA1151 BIOS Updates Ahead of Kaby Lake

Not so long ago, MSI updated their motherboard support pages for products using the LGA1151 socket and included BIOS updates to add support for the upcoming Kaby Lake architecture. Today, ASUS has followed suit and released new BIOS versions for the company’s huge range of LGA1151 motherboards. This includes popular models like the Maximum VIII Hero and more budget-orientated solutions sporting the B150 chipset. As you can see from the chart below, ASUS has provided everything you need barring the processor itself, to upgrade to Kaby Lake:
Even though Kaby Launch’s release date is shrouded in secrecy, the leaks thus far suggest it won’t be long until more information arrives. Perhaps, Intel has upped their game to combat AMD’s Zen architecture and provided a larger boost in performance than usual. Whatever the case, it’s great to see manufacturers preparing for the launch in a timely manner and the backwards compatibility with LGA1151 motherboards is a welcome addition. If you wish to download the latest BIOS version, simply visit your motherboard’s support page on ASUS’ website. I’d recommend doing this now so that you can easily install a Kaby Lake processor without encountering stability problems.
Are you looking forward to Kaby Lake?
