ASUS Releases RGB Version of RoG Horus GK2000 Keyboard

Last year, ASUS announced the Republic of Gamers Horus GK2000 keyboard. It is an LED backlit Cherry MX mechanical keyboard that cost around £179.99. Now, ASUS is finally releasing an RGB LED version of the same keyboard, but luckily for not much more than the original at £199.99. It still sounds crazy expensive, especially in a market as crowded as it is now.

What do you get for the £199.99 ASUS RoG Horus GK2000 RGB?

For starters, you get a uniquely styled mechanical gaming keyboard. It has a gorgeous black anodized brushed aluminum finish with CNC milled “wings”. These have a titanium effect top-coat, creating a high quality finish. The Hors GK2000 RGB also comes with a detachable 47 x 70mm palm rest for convenience. Towards the back, there are audio port pass-through for both the microphone and headphones. There are also two USB pass-through ports available for USB headsets or for connecting USB storage.

It uses Cherry MX mechanical switches for linear, light actuation with additional dedicated buttons for hot keys. Users can even live record macros and instantly save and recall them through the built-in MCU and memory.

The illumination control and the sound control use analog rollers so it is easy to adjust while playing. There is also a dedicated Windows key disable button right at the top, eliminating any accidents. Since it has RGB LED features, the Horus GK2000 RGB has several pre-loaded light ASUS AURA Sync behaviour presets. This includes static, breathjing, color cycle, reactives, ripple, wave, rain , star, laser, and mix. All are controllable via the ASUS Aura Sync software as well and can be synchronized with other AURA Sync enabled devices.
