[Motherboard] Regarding Misprint on ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO EVA-02 EDITION

To our valued ASUS Customers,

We have recently received incident reports about the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO EVA-02 EDITION motherboard regarding the misspelling of the word “Evangelion” on the decorative part located on the left side of the product. We sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.

For users who have already installed the motherboard, it is important to note that the misprint is purely aesthetic and does not affect any functionality or performance. As part of our commitment to resolving this issue, we will extend the warranty by one additional year and implement a replacement program. ASUS will provide a corrected decorative part that end-users can use to replace the misprinted part. If you encounter this issue, please contact your local customer service for more details.

We understand the significance of this matter and want to assure you that we are dedicated to resolving it promptly. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our ASUS customer service.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

It’s good that ASUS will be offering replacement parts for this oversight but it is still baffling how it got past quality control. It is just a minor issue but considering the board costs over $700, it is something worth getting annoyed about, especially as the board is meant to be a showcase piece.

ASUS will offer a replacement part to correct the issue which will require some disassembly of the board on the end-user side though some people may not be confident enough to do that. Whether ASUS will offer full replacements for those who don’t wish to take it apart isn’t clear.
