The other day ASUS posted an interesting teaser for a new RTX 40 series graphics card which has today been revealed with not just one but two new cards for ASUS ROG and ASUS TUF.
So ASUS has revealed a new 4090 TUF OG using the 30 series cooler which to me just looks like they had leftover coolers and need some clever marketing to sell them on, but the 3090 TUF cooler looks fantastic so I’ll let it slide. The 4090 TUF OG comes in a standard and an OC variant which features OC speeds of 2595 MHz with the standard variant featuring 2565 MHz. The OG uses three axial-tech dual ball bearing fans where the centre fan rotates in an opposite direction to reduce air turbulence as well as military-grade capacitors and other high-quality components to allow for long-term reliability. The TUF OG cooler comes in a size of 325.9 x 140.2 x 62.8 mm which allows it to accommodate some more cases compared to the previous larger 4090 TUF variant.
Also revealed is the new liquid-cooled ASUS ROG STRIX 4090 which provides a significantly smaller form factor for the RTX 4090 as well as the increased thermal efficiency of liquid cooling. The Strix LC features a full-coverage cold plate that spans both the GPU die and the memory which is covered by a sleek RGB shroud fitted with a blower-style fan to keep the power delivery cool. The card is connected to a 240mm radiator which features two 120mm ARGB fans optimised for both high airflow and static pressure allowing for peak performance with minimal noise.
