Asus’ gamer brand Republic of Gamers has announced their newest laptop, the G751 Gaming Laptop. It is packed with enthusiast grade Intel i7 processors and the newest Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M mobile GPUs to give the best gaming experience on the go. The new G751 retains the classic stealthy F-22 Raptor inspired look and sports an aluminium finish with an illuminated ROG Logo
Asus managed to achieve what they call an intelligent and near silent cooling system for this laptop. Heat and thereby noise created by tiny fans is a common problem with laptops that are being pushed to their limits. By using direct copper heat sinks and placing the components strategically, Asus managed to achieve this silent laptop. It has a dual-fan system that blows the hot air out the vents to the rear of the laptop. The large vents allow for sufficient hot air to escape and at the same time give the laptop a roaring look.
The screen is a 17.3-inch matte, anti-flare FULL HD IPS display with a 178 degree viewing angle. The laptop supports external 4k/UHD displays and has the Trinity Display technology that allows a total of 4 screens to run simultaneous by using three external and the built-in display.
The keyboard is ergonomically angled for comfort even during marathon gaming sessions. The keys have adjustable backlight and the WASD keys are extra highlighted.
This is a laptop for gamers and as such has dedicated buttons to access steam and perform one-click gameplay recording. It also has a custom macro button you can assign to what ever you’d like. The GPU uses the Asus TurboMaster GPU-overclocking to get even more power from the already great GTX 980M. Sound is also important when gaming and as such it has Asus Sonicmaster and ROG Audiowizard for the best audio experience on the go. Optimal network traffic is ensured by the GameFirst III that optimizes networks to give users lag-free gameplay by prioritising it.
The G751 Gaming laptop also features plenty of connectivity options. It has two USB 3 ports on each side for a total of four ports to connect input devices and extra storage, three stereo audio jacks for 5.1 surround sound. HDMI 1.4, mini DisplayPort and DSUB for additional monitors and Gigabit Ethernet to get online. It also has a Blu-Ray drive and card reader.
