ASUS Responds To AM5 Motherboard BIOS Warranty Concerns
Jakob Aylesbury / 1 year ago
Recently ASUS came under fire for one of their latest BIOS updates which was stated to void your manufacturer’s warranty, but now they have released a full update that doesn’t.
ASUS BIOS Update, This Time With Warranty
This issue for ASUS has quite rightly annoyed the community as offering a BIOS update that voids your warranty whilst also being “necessary” to fix a major issue was quite frankly disgusting and dishonest. ASUS has today addressed the concerns surrounding this issue and would like to reassure their customers that both beta and fully validated BIOS updates for ASUS AM5 motherboards are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty for these motherboards also covers AMD EXPO, Intel XMP and DOCP memory configurations and the latest BIOS updates follow the latest AMD voltage guidelines for Ryzen 7000 processors.
The Damage Has Already Been Done
For now, the damage to ASUS has already been done and many consumers are moving on to other manufacturers until those other manufacturers have a colossal balls-up which they’re bound to and this whole situation will be repeated again. Vote with your money, and choose the company that has done the least worse thing lately.
