ASUS Reveals A Triple Fan Low Profile RTX 4060

The RTX 4060 is the ideal card for a small form factor or low profile cooling solution usually involving a single fan configuration or even just a passive design. The low profile design is of course rather limiting so is more ideal for a business computer needing a small low power card for a few extra displays rather than for gamers, but some manufacturers are still deciding to dabble in this design and even push it further such as ASUS by incorporating three fans into the low profile form factor.

ASUS RTX 4060 LP BRK

This new card from ASUS, Via VideoCardz, stands out for its triple fan cooling solution in a low profile format, but they aren’t the first to use this design, that award goes to GIGABYTE with their triple fan RTX 4060 released last year. This ASUS card is highly similar in design with a simple black shroud and three fans sporting the ASUS logo, I mean there’s only so much you can do for a card designed to be hidden in a tiny PC.

Its shortened width does mean this card uses a two slot design to accommodate a taller heatsink to compensate for its slim size. The GPU itself is the 115W model meaning it features a single 8-pin power connector which may be a deal-breaker for some who’d rather the 75W model powered just from the PCIe slot. It features four display outputs including dual HDMI 2.1 and dual DP 1.4a making it a solid choice in the HTPC market.

Specs

  • NVIDIA Ada Lovelace Streaming Multiprocessors: Up to 2X performance and power efficiency
  • 4th Generation Tensor Cores: Up to 4x performance with DLSS 3 vs. brute-force rendering
  • 3rd Generation RT Cores: Up to 2x ray tracing performance
  • IP5X dust resistance offers protection from particle ingress for better durability.
  • Dual ball fan bearings can last up to twice as long as sleeve bearing designs.
  • A 2-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis.
  • Auto-Extreme technology uses automation to enhance reliability.
  • GPU Tweak III provides intuitive performance tweaking, thermal controls, and system monitoring.

Where Can I Learn More?

More information on this card is available on the product page at asus.com, for pricing of course we can base this upon the $299 MSRP of the RTX 4060 however with the GIGABYTE equivalent to this card sitting at $324.99 on NEWEGG I can safely assume a higher price.
