ASUS Rog Ally Could Be Launched Very Soon

On April 1st ASUS decided to not do an April Fools joke and instead decided a genuine product release would be the best type of joke revealing the ASUS Rog Ally, a Handheld Console to compete with the Steam Deck which it seems we may see hit the shelves sooner than initially thought.
ASUS Rog Ally To Release Sooner Than Expected
ASUS Rog made a tweet yesterday claiming that “The ROG Ally is set to release worldwide (and it may be sooner than you expect)”. Within the tweet was also included a Best Buy link for North American customers to receive notifications for when the ROG Ally becomes available for pre-order. I wonder how well this will be received and how it competes with the Steam Deck.
ASUS Rog Ally Specs
Let’s take a look back at the revealed specs for the Ally as on paper it seems like a very viable console to compete with the Steam Deck. The ROG is expected to feature an AMD ZEN 4 APU with RDNA3 graphics paired with 16GB of RAM on a 1920×1080 120hz display. All these specs on paper outperform the Steam Deck and in testing it is claimed that it can offer 50% more performance at just 15W and double the performance at 35W when pitted against the Steam Deck. What really sells the Rog Ally as a Deck competitor is its price which is expected to be around $680 which isn’t much more than the 512GB model of the Steam deck
