How Much Does it Cost?

A mouse with this many incredible features must be quite expensive I hear you saying, and you’re absolutely right, it is. The ASUS ROG Chakram Core will take £90 out of your wallet, which is a lot. However, this is no ordinary gaming mouse and really sets its self as one of the most advanced and feature-rich mice on the market today. You’re paying more, but you’re getting a lot more in return.

Overview

The ASUS ROG Chakram Core is really in the big leagues when it comes to features. I feel like I covered them all, but at the same time, feel like I barely scratched the surface of what its capable of. However, I think it’s the design that deserves the bigger thumps up. The mouse looks and feels solid and robust, and it looks it too. However, you can strip it down thanks to the magnetic system. Even disassembled, all of the interior and underside of components have a stunning premium finish to them. It all goes together with ease, and no fiddling. A child could strip the mouse down, swap the switches and build it back up again.

Performance

The truly fantastic sensor is a joy to use, and it’s absolutely eSports ready, offering up 40g acceleration, 400 IPS tracking, 1000Hz polling rate and 100 to 16,000 DPI tracking speeds. You’ll not be left wanting for more from it. The unique DPI level scroll adjustment is cool too, it’s nice to skip the software while making incremental changes. Especially given many tournaments don’t allow for software.

Added Value

It’s nothing but cool add-on features here. The analogue stick is certainly a stand-out feature. It takes some getting used to, but I use it for various camera adjustments in analogue mode. In D-pad mode, it’s perfect for throwing macros on while playing ESO. Then you’ve got the RGB, weight tuning, swappable switches, and more. It really is a pretty tremendous mouse to use in the office all day to slay some spreadsheets, and then fire up your favourite game and slay your enemies all night.
