ASUS ROG GL703G 144Hz G-Sync Gaming Laptop Review

Acoustics and Temperatures

Temperatures

Earlier on in the article, you may recall that we had some concerns regarding the lack of vents to the laptop design. With this, we did have some concerns that it might run a little warm. The charts clearly indicate that while this laptop is a performer, it does run a little hotter than many others we have tested in comparison. While this is true, the temperatures recorded were well within expected ranges and, in addition, of no concern to the operational performance being affected.

Acoustics

With this laptop running so warm, it isn’t any surprise that it is also quite noisy. While this does top our testing in terms of noise, at idle or even average load the laptop is not too noisy. When pushed to the limits though the potentially restricted air flow does become more apparent with a quite noisy operation.
