ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 $700+ Evangelion Motherboard Features A Typo

Previously ASUS has done collaborations with the Evangelion anime from the 90s including an entire collection of components themed around the EVA-01 and more recently EVA-02. These components are special edition components of course come with a high price tag, not to mention the high price tag of ROG products anyway, so you come to expect high quality. Unfortunately, as some eagle-eyed fans have noticed, some things slip through the gaps in quality control including spelling mistakes.
ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 “EVANGENLION”
ASUS’s ROG MAXIMUS Z70 HERO EVA-02 EDITION motherboard has come under some scrutiny due to an oversight in the spelling of EVANGELION on the IO cover of the motherboard. A photo of the spelling mistake was shared on r/pcmasterrace where you can see EVANGENLION spelt instead of EVANGELION. Now this isn’t just a one-off mistake as when you look at the product page you can see the spelling mistake on the official images.
This is embarrassing, especially for a $700+ motherboard. I don’t expect ASUS to be rushing out for a recall though as it’s such a small issue, but for some, it will probably bug them a lot. Maybe ASUS’s quality assurance team recently got replaced with AI.
