The ASUS RoG PUGIO II Wireless may have a bit of a strange name, but it’s certainly not a strange-looking mouse. Actually, it looks a little… bland I guess. It’s a really smooth and clean design, but if you look closely, it’s actually a little transparent too.
Down the left side, two navigation buttons, as well as some hard-wearing grips.
Around the back, it’s pretty smooth. However, if you look closely again, it’s not out of focus, it’s that transparent body showing some details inside; I wonder what it’ll look like with the power on!
Down the right side, two more navigation buttons and more of that hard-wearing grip. That’s right folks, it’s an ambidextrous mouse, perfect for left-handed and right-handed use, while also offer extra buttons for macros and short cuts.
The LMB and RMB are both mounted on their own panels, rather than being formed from the same panel as the top of the mouse. This means they can be individually sprung for a more responsive and tactile feel.
There’s a good size rubber gripped scroll wheel between them too, which is also clickable.
On the base of the mouse, we start to see some of the fancy features this mouse is hiding. There’s a huge section of RGB lighting running around the rear of the mouse.
Here you can swap between 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth mode, as well as pair the device. However, you’ll notice a lack of DPI settings on the top, and that’s because they’re here. Personally I almost NEVER change my DPI, I like it where it is, so this suits me nicely.
